Cyril Balsollier obtained his MSc in Green Chemistry in 2016 at Université Savoie Mont Blanc, Chambéry, France. During his studies he was involved in different student associations in the field of communication and event organisation. His scientific interest is on the synthesis of bioconjugate product derivatives from carbohydrates. He is currently pursuing his PhD under supervision of Prof. Roland Pieters at Utrecht University and Prof. Marko Anderluh at the University of Ljubljana, in a project concerning the discovery of new glyco/peptido mimetic inhibitors of O-β-N-Acetylglucosamine transferase (OGT).
